Néodyme Australia is an independent consulting and engineering company which
provides highly skills services in the fields of:
- Occupational health and safety,
- Environmental protection,
- Process safety.
Néodyme was created in 2004 from the association of 5 engineers who wanted to pool their experience acquired and support companies in in the areas of nuclear, oil and gas, energy, chemical and mines.
Néodyme’s headcount is about 100 employees in 2014 (including 20 employees internationally spread).
The expertise and experience of the founding managers and the employees are used to support manufacturers, communities and administrations in the aim of helping them in their safety, environmental, health approaches, from the plants’ conception to their exploitation and dismantling.
Néodyme masters a number of methodologies and tools that are necessary to carry out entrusted investigations or services relying on multidisciplinary staff.
Néodyme is based in France (5 agencies) and internationally (one agency in Noumea, New Caledonia, and one in Brisbane, Australia).
Néodyme also has a research and development department.
Charles BOURDONNEAU - Director and Head Manager
In the last 10 years Charles has been dedicating his self for supporting clients achieving their goals and enhancing their projects regarding Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental protection. He has been involved in many worldwide projects but also in the operations of small companies with the same passion and willing to provide the best to identify, assess and rank the risks faced by the industry.
Sebastien HUGO – Director and International Manager
Senior industrial risk engineer, with high skills in risk assessment (HAZOP, FMEA), consequence modelling (quantification of consequences and of probability) and permitting dossiers for classified installations. Sébastien is also an international Business Manager and associate of Néodyme.
Yoann SECRET – General Manager
Based on relevant skills and multiple missions in the field of environmental and health / safety issues, his professional experience allows Yoann to fully perform a position of HSE coordinator for industries. Proactive, autonomous and with a strong team spirit, he is able to manage multiple projects and lead change management in order to reach high level targets on time and efficiently for his clients.
Yoann is now the General Manager of all operations in Australian and in the office in Brisbane.
Magalie has a significant experience in safety and industrial risk as she has worked for various industrial plants from chemical, oil and gas to mining. Her main skills are permitting, safety studies, risk assessment and process safety management. With an international profile, she is autonomous and has shown a strong ability to adapt.

Néodyme’s activities in France are certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. It is then a complete and integrated QHSE that drives our expertise for even more efficiency and performance.
Néodyme Australia is in the process of becoming certified and the first step will be to comply with the AS/NZS 4801 Standard in regards to Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
Néodyme holds CEFRI certification (register of French companies with staff working in nuclear facilities and potentially exposed to ionizing radiation) offering us great opportunities in the nuclear field and bringing relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
At last, Néodyme is also recognised by the EDF group (European leader in production and distribution of electricity) as a technical operational unit (UTO certification).
